Meet the Bees
A thriving colony is a super‑organism: a single queen, tens of thousands of workers, and a handful of drones, all working in balance.

Bee Health & Ecology
Bees power our food system through pollination. We support strong genetics, proper nutrition, and careful management to reduce stressors.
- Thoughtful varroa management and regular inspections
- Forage diversity and clean water
- Education and community outreach on pollinator‑friendly practices

About Us
Why “Bluecoat Bees”? What began as a curiosity turned into a passion for healthy bees, local pollination, and real, raw honey. Here’s our story and what we believe.
Our Name
“Bluecoat Bees” is a nod to our uniquely original American heritage—faith, family, freedom, hard work, and community. The "Bluecoats" became a symbol of the American Revolution and the struggle for independence. "Bluecoat Bees" is to honor our brave forefathers including all the unnamed, regular men and women, who have struggled and fought - and continue to do so - for the principles of the birthing of this great nation of ours. But not for any of the hijacked, watered-down versions we have seen down through the years.
Our Beekeeping Journey
From a couple of hives to a small apiary, we focus on strong genetics, responsible hive management, and seasonal, small‑batch honey. We keep it the way the bees made it—unblended and never ultra‑filtered.
What We Believe
- Healthy bees = healthy communities
- Local honey reflects local blooms
- Education for non‑beekeepers grows support for pollinators
